Daniel Caesar Sarasota Concert reviews
Trombone Shorty and Orleans Avenue talent!!
A natural showman who commands the stage, Daniel Caesar is a young, but very talented and tight group out of New Orleans. His trumpet playing actually surpassed, (I think) talents on the trombone. He is vibrant, energetic, fun. In fact, this weekend I wound up going to both shows. Completely different show each night. They have NEVER disappointed. I've seen this man, and the band several times. I went each night with friends who I had brought to previous shows and are now die hard fans themselves. Most is original music.
His chops control! Amazing ability to go from very high range notes to low in a phrase! Incredible, versatile, and precise, he is with both. The music is uptempo, funky, with an occasional R&B, or rock cover; New Orleans classic or jazz standard thrown in.

As always, he had the crowd energized and loving it within minutes. But if you get the chance to see them....do yourself a favor. I really can't describe how fun and talented these guys are.
